Sometimes our lives are in shambles and we are unsure of which way to turn for refuge or peace. Its not that were down on our luck or anything its just there are things that are brewing to either hender or intervene to make us stronger or better. In doing so we have to remeber the story of Jesus when he and his diciples were on the boat. Let's take a look....
Jesus Calms the Storm
Matthew 8:23-27
23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.
24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.
25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
The breakdown for breakthrough
When we look in verse 23 Jesus led his disciples onto a boat where there he lay to sleep before getting to the other side of the river,In context we have remeber that we arefollowing Jesus as he leads us and we have to be willing to go through the worst but remain calm just as if we are sleep.
In verse 24 a storm that is furious arrived and began to cause the boat to sway and overflow with water. The diciples began to get scarde as this shift made them uncomfortable. Alot of things make us uncomfortable in life and we as humans tend to get scarde. Although we can compare this with our daily activites of life we have remain vigelent that no matter whats going wheter it be car issue, money, food, or family we are following Jesus and therefore our cause is set and our victory is eminent.
Verse 26 Tells us that Jesus awoke and began to get angry at the storm as it was out of order in the time he required. When something is going wrong and there is a problem it is our first intent to remove the problem or ourselves from the equation. This is not because were weak but simply there is a part of us that says that this is not worth the trouble. We have the power mandate by God and encouraged and demostrated by Jesus to speak things as though they are.In light this simply means that if something is wrong we are able to call forth th thing or possibility of something that is correct we only have yet to open our mounths. If the issues are at at hand we must call them out rebuke them and set the correct order to maintain peace and prosperity in our daily lives this is how we keep the enemy from attacking.
In last verse 27 the diciples saw the powerthat Jesus demostrated and we amazed and began see that the powere he held was credible to that of his father. In doing so we also have this power and are credible as His children to possess and conqure the events of life that we may face. It s not wrong and it is by right for you to challenge all things that come against you in Jesus name, in love and in deciency and order. This how to overcome obstacles that we face and remain in a peaceful state.
